Towner County Medical Center is pleased to announce the recipients of the Beverly J Keller Healthcare Career Scholarship’s for 2007. The scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic excellence, which includes the following criteria: SAT/ACT scores, grade point average, career choices, work experience, participation in school and community activities, a statement by the student explaining his/her educational and career goals, and a written recommendation by a teacher, counselor or employer.
This year’s $500 scholarships are being awarded to Katie Clifton and Kyle Murchie.
Katie Clifton, graduated from Minnewaukan Public School in 2007, plans to attend Northland Community and Technical College in East Grand Forks, MN to pursue a career in occupational therapy. She is the daughter of Philip (Joe) and Kelli Clifton of Minnewaukan.
Kyle Murchie, graduated from Cando Public School in 2007, plans to attend NDSU in Fargo to pursue a career in nursing. Kyle is the son of Brian and Lori Murchie of Cando.
